Scope of Practice
Dr. Bouffard is certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Periodontics. He completed residencies in both Hospital Dentistry and specialty training in Periodontics. Upon completion of Residency training, he successfully pursued board certification and became one of only a small percentage of periodontists who are Board Certified in Periodontics and Dental Implantology. To achieve board certification takes a great deal of effort and requires regular recertification. For his patients, that means that Dr. Bouffard has achieved the highest level of training and certification possible in his profession. To retain board certification he attends extensive annual continuing education and is required to take a recertification examination periodically.

Treatment of Periodontal disease,is the cornerstone of a Periodontists practice. Dr. Bouffard trained as a regenerative Periodontist. Control of disease, maintenance of periodontal health and regeneration of damaged periodontal bone and soft tissue is the heart of his practice.

Dental Implantology
Replacement of missing teeth, and reconstruction of dentition with dental implants is performed by collaboration of surgical and restorative dental specialists. Dr. Bouffard uses computer technology to plan surgical dental implant placement to facilitate restoration by his restorative colleagues. Dental implant therapy is very technique sensitive and Dr. Bouffard has a very high success rate. This success is achieved in large measure by using technology to optimize the placement of dental implants in the ideal location using the techniques deemed best for each individual patient.
Orthodontics
Orthodontic treatment is used to treat all types of patients, from adults to young teens. It is used to realign the teeth into a more natural position. It is also used to straighten teeth and correct any imbalance in the bite.

Our team is experienced in providing oral surgery. Our philosophy to oral surgery is to provide the most comfortable care possible. We take the time to answer your questions and explain your treatment path beforehand.
